The Yamanote Line platforms form an island, with the Saikyo Line platforms lying parallel to this, thus making by far the most effective use of the former Toyoko Line site. The Yamanote Line and Saikyo Line split the first floor of Shibuya Station into east and west sections, with vertical shafts (escalators etc.) passing through the east and west floors. |

The western side is the main passageway connecting to the Shibuya station of the Inokashira Line. Buses going toward Setagaya come down a slope from the third floor, driving under the Route 246 bypass at this level, then head out toward Setagaya again. On the east side are stops for buses taking Route 246 toward Roppongi. |
